Ms Priscilla Najoli

Priscilla Jemeli Najoli is a distinguished Health Systems Management Specialist and Director of Nursing Services with over 36 years of progressive experience in Kenya’s health sector. Her career includes 19 years at the Nursing Council of Kenya, where she provided strategic leadership in regulation, policy development and quality assurance of nursing education and practice.

She holds a Master’s degree in Public Health Systems Management and Impact from Kenyatta University, a Master of Business Administration in Strategic Management, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Daystar University, complemented by professional training in nursing and midwifery from the Kenya Medical Training College. She has further undertaken training in strategic leadership and corporate governance.

Currently serving as Acting Director of Healthcare Professionals Management and Welfare at the Kenya Health Human Resource Advisory Council, she leads initiatives in harmonizing health workforce policies, standardizing schemes of service and strengthening human resources for health systems at both national and county levels. Her extensive experience encompasses senior leadership roles in standards and compliance, registration and licensing, ethics and discipline and examinations, in addition to earlier clinical practice in various government hospitals. She has played a pivotal role in spearheading transformative regulatory frameworks and contributing to national strategic initiatives within the Ministry of Health, and continues to be an influential figure in advancing professional standards, workforce development and health systems strengthening in Kenya.
