Dr. Angela Nyakundi is a results-driven medical doctor and public health specialist with over 15 years of experience working at the Ministry of Health. She is passionate about unifying stakeholders to drive health workforce development and empowering healthcare leaders and decision-makers to take opportunities, build partnerships, and drive development.

She holds a Master's in International Studies from the University of Nairobi, an MSc in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Nairobi. In addition, she has undertaken the National Security and Strategy Course at the National Defense College-Kenya and the Strategic Leadership Development Program at the Kenya School of Government.

She currently serves as the Head of the Division of Human Resources for Health at the State Department for Public Health & Professional Standards, having previously served as a Board Member of the National Cancer Institute-Kenya; Head of Health Sector Regulation and Legislation at the Ministry of Health; Head of the Division of Human Resources for Health at the Ministry of Health; Head of the Division of National Referral Services; and Medical Officer at the Ministry of Health
