Dr. Joy Mugambi

Dr. Joy Mugambi is a transformational global health leader and seasoned Family Physician with over 27 years of progressive experience in health system strengthening, primary healthcare, policy development, and organisational leadership. Her career is defined by dedication to excellence, mentorship, and advocacy for health policy reforms.
She holds a Master of Medicine in Family Medicine from Moi University, Eldoret; a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the International Medical and Technological University, Tanzania; and a Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery from the School of Clinical Medicine, Port Reitz, Mombasa.
She currently serves as County Director of Health Administration & Planning for Nakuru County, having previously served as Family Physician & COVID-19 Team Lead at Eldama-Ravine Sub County Hospital, Baringo County; Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) Coordinator for Baringo County; Medical Superintendent at Eldama-Ravine Sub County Hospital, Baringo County; and Clinical Officer at Valley Hospital, Nakuru.
