Kenya provides strategic leadership to the BCRUP Programme, drawing on its strong policy framework for climate action, urban development, and devolution. Through national and county-level experience in informal settlement upgrading, affordable housing, and climate resilience initiatives, Kenya anchors practical, scalable approaches that respond to the needs of vulnerable urban communities.
Brazil co-leads the BCRUP Programme by contributing global south expertise in inclusive urban planning, social housing, and climate adaptation in large metropolitan areas. Its experience in community-driven urban upgrading, resilient infrastructure, and integrated social programmes strengthens South-South cooperation and knowledge exchange under BCRUP.
