We were privileged today to register the Chief of Staff and Head of Public Service , Felix Koskei ,and Principal Secretaries for the issuance of Maisha Card IDs. The service was hosted by Julius Kibet Bitok PS Immigration and conducted by the National Registration Bureau on the side-line of a meeting of senior government officials at the Bomas of Kenya.
The registration extended to the management, auxiliary staff and visitors to the leading platform for showcasing Kenya’s culture and traditions.
The government is piloting the third-generation National ID card, better known as the Maisha card.
It is part of the identity ecosystem that features the Maisha Namba which will be a lifelong registration number issued as a birth certificate number and that will transit to a personal number for enrolment for government services such as education, health and taxation.
