MITI is driving industrial transformation by promoting value addition and manufacturing and creating conducive environment for investment. This is through industrial infrastructure, research and innovation and accrediation.
The main objective of CAIP is to grow manufacturing and investments through Agro-Industries and enhance productivity of agriculture sector in a sustainable manner hence creating inclusive decent jobs, increase farmers’ income; Increase foreign exchange, provide platform where farmers, processors, exporters, research institutions, industrial bodies and Government can engage for agro-industrial development.
Intellectual Property (IP) refers to creations of the mind, including inventions, innovations, designs, brand names, symbols, literary and artistic works, and new plant varieties. Protecting intellectual property enables creators, innovators and businesses to safeguard their ideas, prevent unauthorised use and turn creativity into valuable commercial assets.
We develop, harmonize, and implement standards, measurement and conformity assessment, for regional integration. By operating the National Enquiry Point in support of the WTO Agreement on Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT), we facilitate transparency and international cooperation in technical regulations, standards, and conformity assessment procedures.
We assess and accredit organizations that provide certification, medical testing, inspection, testing, calibration, and proficiency testing. Kenya being the largest accreditor in Eastern Africa, we also provides validation and verification services. Read more
