Dr. Kipronoh Ronoh, Principal Secretary of the State Department for Agriculture, is at the forefront of Kenya’s agricultural transformation. With a PhD in Leadership and Governance, an MBA, and a BSc in Computer Science, he brings a wealth of experience from previous roles, including Principal Secretary for Water and Sanitation and CEO of the ICT Authority.

Under his leadership, the Ministry has implemented key initiatives such as the fertilizer subsidy program, which contributed to a 43% increase in maize production in 2024. Dr. Ronoh is also spearheading the Mama Kitchen Garden initiative to support small-scale farmers across 24,000 villages. He advocates for sustainable agricultural financing policies and emphasizes the importance of climate-smart agriculture, mechanization, and youth involvement to build a resilient food system.
